DANCE SAFE PLAN

Returning to the Studio Safely during Covid-19

STAGGERED ENTRY AND SCREENING

Only students will be permitted to enter the dance studio. Classes will be staggered 15 minutes apart to allow for the instructor to meet students at the door and welcome them
into the studio. Before entering the studio, each dancer must complete a COVID-19 screening and a temperature check. Students will then walk through the lobby to the studio, at the end of their class students will exit through the change room door.

LOBBY AND CHANGE ROOM ARE CURRENTLY CLOSED

The studio change room and lobby will be closed for the time being to ensure a minimum amount of people entering the studio. Students will be met at the front door and guided into the studio for their class. Essential personal belongings can be left in marked out boxes in the dance studio. Students are not permitted to congregate in the lobby or the change room
before or after classes. The front door will be locked once classes start, students can call the studio if they are running late 905 945 0349.

SANITATION STATION

All patrons entering the building will be asked to sanitize their hands upon arrival at the front door. Sanitizer and hand-washing will also be available to dancers through out their time in the studio

SOCIAL DISTANCING

Once in the studio everyone will be required to practice social distancing. 6 ft by 6 ft boxes have been taped out on the floor and the barres for students to use for guidance. Should
a parent need to enter the studio with their little one they are required to stand only in the area marked in the lobby. While entering the studio students are asked to use the space
markers on the ground outside of the studio while waiting to check in with their teacher. Class sizes will be smaller to accommodate social distancing.

MASKS

All of our staff will be wearing masks while they greet students into the studio and start classes. Anyone entering the studio, 10 years and older MUST wear a mask while they are not in class dancing (unless they qualify for an exemption named by the Niagara Health
Department). Students are encouraged to wear a mask while in class, but it is not required during ‘vigourous physical activity’.

INCREASED CLEANING PROCEDURES

All high touch surfaces will be wiped down between each class by the instructors. Daily cleaning and disinfecting of the studio will be done to ensure a clean space to dance
in.

All guidelines have been put in place following “Ontario’s Dance and performing arts studios workplace guidelines for covid-19. For any questions, email the studio at info@niagaraacademy.org
